Tom Durant-Working out of offices in Eugene, Oregon, Tom Durant oversees EcoCafé Haiti as the founder, fund-raiser, and marketing director of the organization. Durant's background includes 40 years of industrial and entrepreneurial business experience, graduate and undergraduate degrees in business, and a master's degree in theological studies. Additionally, until December 2019 Durant served as a senior instructor at the University of Oregon and Oregon State University teaching entrepreneurship, global business, and other management courses.

Dr. Mike English-Former director of strategic planning at Bell System followed by a 15 year stint working for Western Electric, Southern Bell, AT&T, and BellSouth. After leaving BellSouth, English began a series of entrepreneurial ventures in telecommunications and internet technologies. Dr. English has an engineering undergraduate degree, a master’s degree in business administration, and a doctorate in organizational leadership. He is currently the president of KME Ventures and teaches master’s and doctor's level classes in strategic planning, organizational leadership, and business organization.

Douglas Cochrane-Founder and former chief technology officer for FabTrol Systems, Inc., the largest steel fabrication software provider in the world. In addition to FabTrol Systems, Cochrane has started up several entrepreneurial concerns over the last thirty years. He is a gifted entrepreneur, adventurer, and philanthropist. Douglas and his wife, Gerry (former CEO of Fabtrol Systems), regularly contribute to worthy causes and lead an active life in Tacoma, WA.  

As contributors to the organization, no US-based officers receive remuneration for their services. EcoCafé Haiti is a Haitian employee-owned company, the benefits of which accrue solely to our Haitian employees and the community of Ranquitte.

The company started as a program through CFI with donations and grants from a variety of sources. CFI is a faith-based, non-denominational, 501(c) (3) charitable organization whose ministry revolves around the community of Ranquitte, Haiti. CFI is headquartered in Richmond Kentucky.
